Peoples Water Service takes progressive measures to ensure that a reliable supply of high-quality
water is available for current and future generations. Some of these measures include water main replacement projects.
As a valued customer, we are pleased to share with you our plans for capital investment in
main replacements. Each year we invest in the replacement of water mains and service lines that are reaching the end
of their useful life.
The following is a list of our planned main replacement projects
for the fiscal year starting October 2009 and ending August 2010.
October-November-December 2009
*Replace 600' of 2" galvanized main with 3" PVC at the 200 block of Carys Lane
*Replace
680' of 2" galvanized main with 3" PVC at Pou Station
January-March-April 2010
*Replace 260' of 4" AC main with 4" PVC at Sunset
Avenue between Valencia Drive and Chattman Street
*Replace 1,280' of 2" galvanized
main with 3" PVC at Waycross Avenue from Gulf Beach Highway to Sunnyside Road
June-July-August 2010
*Replace 900' of 2" galvanized
main with 3" PVC on Chattman Street from Sunset Avenue to Valencia Street
*Replace 1,250' of 4" AC main with 4" PVC
at South Loop Road
